Technicks
Technicks are abilities that do not require Mist Points (MP) to use. Some cause damage in unusual ways, some lower the stats of enemies, and some give your Characters access to a whole new variety of skills. They often come in handy when your MP is depleted.
Like with Magicks, Technicks require you to purchase the appropriate Technick scroll and to unlock the accompanying license before you can use them.
The following table is meant to give you a basic rundown of each Technick, how many License Points (LP) it requires, where to get it, how much it costs, etc. For further details on how certain Technicks are calculated, continue past the table.

We realize the above descriptions may be a bit too vague for some people and, therefore, will attempt to explain the mechanics of some of the more useful Technicks in further detail.
Steal

First Aid
This Technick is a waste. First of all, it will only work when the target ally is in HP critical condition (HP < 20%). Second, the amount of HP it will heal can easily be outdone by a simple "Hi-Potion."
Charge
This Technick is quite useful for recovering small amounts of MP when depleted, and unlike "Ethers," it costs nothing to use! Unfortunately, there's a catch. If the Technick fails, your MP will drop to zero and you'll have to start over again. The success rate is calculated by the following formula:
| 1 - (current MP ÷ max MP + 0.01) |
For max efficiency, we recommend using the following Gambit setup for each of your characters:
| Self: MP < 10% | Charge |
Poach

Souleater

Horology
This Technick deals physical damage, and its power is solely dependent on the second minute digit on your game clock. For example, if your game clock reads 12(hr):34(min):56(sec), the "4" will be used.
| Minute Digit | Damage Formula |
| 0 | 0 |
| 1 | 0.5 x LVL |
| 2 | 2 x LVL |
| 3 | 4 x LVL |
| 4 | 8 x LVL |
| 5 | 12.5 x LVL |
| 6 | 18 x LVL |
| 7 | 24.5 x LVL |
| 8 | 32 x LVL |
| 9 | 40.5 x LVL |
As you can see, the higher your level is, the more damage this Technick will do. Unfortunately, no matter the circumstances, the damage output is never that good.

Traveler
This Technick deals physical damage, and its power is solely dependent on the number of steps you've taken since the last time you've used it.
| No. of Steps | Damage Formula |
| 0-99 | No. of steps x 1 |
| 100-499 | No. of steps x 2 |
| 500-989 | No. of steps x 3 |
| 990-999 | No. of steps x 10 |
Unfortunately, whenever the step count goes over 1000, it resets to zero—the game only looks at the final three digits of the steps relative to the last reset. If you don't mind keeping track of your steps, "Traveler" can be a powerful Technick early on.
