Moogle

Moogles are known for the soft, fluffy fur on their bodies, bat-like wings on their backs, and brightly colored pom-poms bobbing atop their heads. They are small, coming up no higher than the waist of an adult Hume. Moogles are extremely intelligent and live much as Humes do, enabling them to move effortlessly in the society of Humes.

Exceedingly dexterous, Moogles make for superb machinists. It is even said their mooglecraft is behind the invention of Airships, one of the most important mechanical innovations in Ivalice's long history.

Though a great many Moogles choose the life of the machinist, that is not to say all Moogles do so; many are skilled knights and mages. Indeed, their diminutive statures notwithstanding, they make for fearsome opponents on the battlefield.

In fact, it is widely believed their affinity for machinery grew from a need to compensate for their physical shortcomings when battling Humes and the other more physically imposing Races.

Special Characteristics

Pom-Pom Wings Hands
A fluffy fur-ball headpiece is the trademark of the Moogle race. Each individual Moogle has its own color of Pom-Pom (and they're so cute!). Small wings, not unlike those of a bat. Due to the near-vestigial quality of these wings, only a few Moogles can use them to fly. Deft, dexterous, highly skilled hands are perfect for delicate technical work or playing instruments. Moogle musicians often provide accompaniment for public ceremonies or parades.
